Borders on PSP 7

Difficulty: Very Easy
Importance: 4/5
Requirements: PSP 7 & an image to use

Tutorial Description
Oh, so you want to make a cute little image and are almost done -- your just missing a border. Okay, no problem. In this tutorial we are going to make first a plain black border, then a more complex 3 line border. Note that your image will grow in the process (if you have a 100 by 100 avatar, and add a 2 pixel border, it will be 104 by 104)

A basic border
First we are going to make a simple border. Borders tend to look best in one pixel width, black. So that's what we are going to do. Find your color palette, and select black as your back color (so this by right clicking on black). Now go to Image >> Add borders. Check "Symmetric". I strongly advise against ever making your border larger than 3 pixels. For now, I'd advice choosing "1" and then pressing OK. There you go, good job ;). If you like your image now, you can leave it like this.

Thick Border
Sure, that's all nice and well, but maybe you want your border to be a little more flashy and bring out the colors of your image better. Okay, no problem. Select one of the key colors in your image by right clicking on it with the eyedropper tool. Remember, this color should not be very dark as it has to stick out from black. Best is a very bright color. In my case, it would have to be orange since the main color of my avatar is orange. The next step is simple, just go to Image >> Add Border again (with Symmetric still checked) but this time increase the pixels to 2. Press OK. For the final step, just make one more black border (right click on black, then Image >> Add borders). Make sure the pixel size is 1. Here you can view my final result ;)
